Catalpa ‘Pulverulenta’ has speckled leaves, hence the common name Speckled Leaf Catalpa.

Variegated Catalpa Versus Speckled Catalpa
A couple of unique Catalpas are growing close together in my nursery. Variegated Catalpa(Catalpa bignonioides ‘Variegata’) and Speckled Catalpa(Catalpa bignonioides ‘Pulverulentum’) are both listed as Southern Catalpa trees.
