Not All Is Lost
Even though limbs broke on the Purple Robe Locust, this tree has set flowers again this summer.
Daycare
A large Black Cherry(Prunus serotina) rises up above the young Black Locust grove. Black Locusts are a good pioneer species and help other tree species get established in their light shade and feed them through their nitrogen fixing capabilities.
