Arctic Paulownia Hybrid
Arctic Paulownia is a Paulownia that suppose to grow fast and be hardy. I have tried a few Paulownia trees in my Iowa location and so far all of them have died back to the ground. This is my best chance yet.
Large Leaves of the Sycamore Tree
Sycamore trees create a lot of leaf litter when their gigantic leaves fall on the ground. But their leaves are small when compared to Paulownia trees. Luckily, the Paulownia leaves quickly disintegrate.

Paulownia elongata grows very fast. From a root sprout, this trunk is two years of growth.
Fast Growing Paulownia
Paulownia is a fast growing genus made of various species. Photos below will show a couple of those species I am trying here and these Paulownia are borderline hardy here. Shrubby-looking Paulownia tomentosa. Paulownia elongata with large leaves.
Paulownia Tree Division
I cut one of my Paulownia elongata trees in half and now have created two trees out of it. Should be interesting how it responds to this.
