Evergreen Cove
The deer like to hide in this cove in the valley. There are many evergreens in this area, the ones visible in this photo are Norway Spruces and Green Giant Cedars.
Greenery
I keep planting evergreens throughout the woods. I would have liked my bamboo to live and be one of the important evergreens, but so far only conifers are important here. Owls like the winter habitat I am creating for them.
Norway Spruce Cultivars
There are many different Spruce cultivars a person can grow. This is a Norway Spruce that has reddish new growth.
Spruce Grove
Today I planted a lot of Norway Spruce and Colorado Blue Spruce. In the future there should be a nice grove of evergreens for the wildlife.
In Focus
The Weeping Willow tree is heavy laden with frost. From afar, the Norway Spruce comes in view.
2009 Fall Colors
Norway Spruce, Ponderosa Pine, and White Oak are lined up. Red Oaks are easily spotted in the naked forest.
