The Illinois Everbearing Mulberry has longer fruit the any other mulberry I am growing. This cultivar can produce fruit for nearly 2 months.

Red Mulberry
I’ve bought some Red Mulberries from the Missouri State Nursery. They are starting to fruit and starting to look like White Mulberry fruit. So as it ends up, I may still be without any Red Mulberries. Makes me wonder if anybody is selling true Red Mulberries.

Illinois Everbearing Mulberry
The Illinois Everbearing Mulberry has longer fruit than the naturalized White Mulberries here. They are good tasting and are said to be a hybrid between a Red Mulberry(Morus rubra) and White mulberry(Morus alba).

White Mulberry(Morus alba) fruit can be different colors. Some trees produce white fruit, others maybe purple or pink.
Unripe Bounty
The mulberry trees are full of fruit this year. Since there are so many mulberry trees here, their fruiting window overlaps so I can eat mulberries for nearly 2 and half months. The fruit gives the mulberry trees an ornamental appeal.
