With a very late fall turning into a quickly, snow-covered winter, some plants kept green leaves under the snowline. Now with the warmer temps melting off the snow, I am seeing the green life.

Lilac Expansion
The Old Fashioned Lilacs have kept suckering, conquering more ground. The poultry like to hide in there.
Fall Flowers
The heavy rains caused some normally, spring-flowering plants to produce flowers in fall.
Laurel Sphinx
Found this Laurel Sphinx(Sphinx kalmiae) on the porch. The larvae feed on Lilacs and Ash trees, which there are many around the house.
Tree Variegation
There are a lot of different tree species that have variegated cultivars. Maples are a good start in variegation. Beech trees and Lilac bushes also come with ornamental, variegated leaves.
Evans Cherry Suckering
Evans Cherry is good at suckering and I can dig the suckers up and create more Cherry bushes. The above photo shows the Lilac and Evans Cherry suckers intermingling.
