In the beginning I never thought this perennial plant would amount to much. This Loosestrife is short, but has found a way to spread and exclude the aggressive, taller bromegrass. It is most noticeable with the white flowers in mass.

Iowa Iris Garden
There used to be a lot of Iris cultivars in this garden. It has been survival of the fittest, any many have died in the grass. The main survivors are yellow and pink Irises.
