An interesting Beech tree to grow is the Copper Beech tree. The leaves contrast a lot with the green scenery.

It looks like a Garden Spider is protecting my Purple Beech. There has been a large population of these spiders this summer.
Old and New
The European Beech in the yard has started to leaf out. The new leaves and old leaves add a contrasting visual to this tree. European Beeches seem to be one of the few deciduous trees that I grow that retain some leaves throughout the winter.
