Buddleja Alternifolia
Buddleja Alternifolia is cold hardier than the common Butterfly Bush(Buddleja davidii). Where as the latter does not come back after winter, the former keeps coming back each year in my rough climate. Some Butterfly Bush flowers below my Golden Silver Maple.
Alien Life Force
A Silver Maple(Acer Saccharinum) growing in the ditch has no problem looking strange. As if the roots are an alien life form, reaching into the stream for sustenance.
