Joy and Joel Cherry are sour fruits that look like sour cherries.
They are not actually a cherry, but similar. They are very ornamental with spring flowers, red fruits in late summer, and good fall color, too.

Spotted Wing Drosophila(Drosophila suzukii) was spotted on my place this summer and has caused problems with some of the fruits.
I think it was already creating problems last year but I didn’t know what it was. There will be clouds of these fruit flies around some of the fruits, like the blackberries.
I noticed some predators are taking advantage of the new food source and things like spiders and lacewings are increasing in numbers.
It has been many years since I’ve had a good peach crop. This summer everything aligned perfectly and the peach trees were loaded with fruit.
I have been busy eating, drying, freezing, and canning the excess peaches.
I juiced some of the peaches and created some peach nectar to drink, too.
This was the first year my Belle of Georgia Peach produced its white fleshed peaches. The white peaches had some floral taste to them and were different than the usual yellow peach that I have eaten in the past.

Moisturin is similar to Wiltpruf, but comes in a worse container for storage. I tried contacting this company about these problems, but they will not respond to me.
The container they are using to sell this product rusts very fast and is compromised. The Moisturin leaks out of this can and the liquid product is wasted.
A guinea fowl mom was sitting on a nest and had a large number of keets. I caught 25 of the babies because guineas are not good mothers. 2 escaped my capture and I let her raise them.
Since it has been very dry this summer, that has helped her two babies survive. They can fly good now and like to spend time on the roof, too.
