Korean Forsythia Leafing Out

A young Korean Forsythia shrub is leaving out.

This Forsythia cultivar has variegated leaves.

The Chojuro Pear has flowered again this spring.

This pear tree has never produced fruit yet, but has flowered for multiple years.

Most of the Common Lilacs in my windbreak row have purple flowers.

There is this lone white Lilac and I need to propagate more of it.

The Yellowhorn(Xanthoceras sorbifolium) has started flowering at a young size and age.

The end result should be edible nuts. Pretty good for an ornamental flowering shrub.

By how the Double Red Delicious Apple and Kieffer Pear are flowering, I should have a lot of fruit this year.

These older trees usually produce fruit every year.

Trying out the Wall-O-Water on some tomato plants….

…but a wall of wind won that round.

We ended up with a late frost.

Some plants had minor damage, like this Chinese Catalpa tree.

The harsh winter topped my White Pine(Pinus strobus).

This pine tree was in an exposed location, planted for windbreak use.

After an amazing harvest of more than a thousand pounds of peaches last year, I am only seeing a few peach flowers.

The winter not only killed flower buds, but also killed some branches and trees outright.

The young Crimson King Maple has started forming seed.

Hopefully the seed matures so that I can plant it.
