Overprotective Mother

A turkey was running around trying to get my attention.

I found this baby nearby.

The Northrup Mulberry tree is in full production of the delicious berries right now.

My Paulownia Tomentosa isn’t looking very good after the past winter.

Most winters have caused mild to heavy dieback.

Some small ferns persist on moist, northern banks above the streams.

Time for some quesadillas now that I have a lot of fresh ingredients.

There are a lot of different maples that I can grow in Iowa.

The many colors of Petunia flowers flood my garden.

These annual plants flower continuously until the freezing weather in the fall kills them.

I grew some Manchurian Catalpas(Catalpa bungei) from seed, but they keep dying to the ground because of the winters.

When mature, I chew on the stalks.

While checking fence, I noticed a new hole was dug along the fence line.

I don’t know what animal dug it, and I wasn’t going to find out.
