Horse Bathroom

Stormy, the horse, looks like he has a bathroom stall for his privacy.

The Bindweed has been crawling up the cattle panels.

Different colors of the 1st and 2nd cuttings of hay.

The goats will enjoy these bales of hay in winter.

Seabuckthorns are starting to produce a good quantity of fruit.

The fruit is hard to pick and small, though it has an interesting flavor.

The Seven Sons Shrub is a very late flowering plant.

These flowers draw in pollinators from afar. Bumble bees were still on the plant into the night.

The Hardy Rubber Tree keeps nearly flawless green leaves into the fall.

But this species has had some winter dieback in the worst winters.

Daisy, the llama, has a lot of space to roam.

European Alder has fast growth rates.

Though for some reason this is the only one of my European Alders that hasn’t died back to the ground.

I still have several Pitlolly Pines that keep on surviving everything Iowa throws at them.

These Pines have looked great this year with the mild weather.

I am growing various species of Wingnut.

This is a Japanese Wingnut, Korean strain for hardiness.

Charlie’s Golden Autumn Olive created a few berries this year.

There wasn’t much Autumn Olive fruit this year, most of the cultivars I have bought are struggling to survive or dead now.
