Beijing Gold Lilac

Beijing Gold Peking Lilac has been a great grower for me.   The shrub/tree has been getting larger and starting to have more flowers.

The flowers kind of look like an off-white to me.   But I guess they can appear to have a yellowish tinge in them, hence the gold in their name.   This plant also has attractive bark for added ornamental features.

Flowering Terrace

Crambe is a perennial that dies back to the ground ever year, but it grows large and can look like a bush.

crambe cordifolia

This terrace has a lot of flowering Crambe Cordifolia.  The white flowers are tiny, but they are produced in mass quantities on top of tall flower stalks and are noticeable from far away.

Deutzia Flowers

Deutzia is a genus that has a lot of different flowering shrubs.  When it gets too cold in the winter, seems like they can have dieback.

These flowering shrubs are worth growing though, as the flowers do not go unnoticed.

Iowa Flowering Roses

There are a few different Roses that flower on my Oasis.   The most common and aggressive one is the Multiflora Rose.

Even though a lot died from RRD(Red Rosette Disease), there are still some lingering around and starting up.  Maybe as time goes on, more resistant Multiflora Roses will exist and not die from RRD.

Iowa Phyllostachys Parvifolia

My Bamboo experiences have been mentioned a lot in my previous entries.  I still have a few species still alive.

This Bamboo species, Phyllostachys Parvifolia, is one of the hardier bamboo species.  In my climate, it also dies to the the ground usually, even though it is on the south side of the house.

Flowering Hardy Kiwi

My female Kiwi plants are currently flowering.

As in the past, there has not been a male to pollinate these vines, so they may not have fruit again.
