The mulberry trees are full of fruit this year. Since there are so many mulberry trees here, their fruiting window overlaps so I can eat mulberries for nearly 2 and half months.
The fruit gives the mulberry trees an ornamental appeal.
Bad Idea

This young tree has some bright, intense yellow leaves, soaking up the Sun’s rays literally. What is interesting that on the undersides of the leaves, it is a frosty, white color. Two opposites do attract for this tree.
Just Add Water
Just add water and watch the Giant Japanese Butterbur grow into gigantic proportions.
This is an giant, leafy ornamental for wet areas. Petasites needs a lot of water to maintain the large leaves of this plant. In some climates, it suppose to spread very fast via the root system. When it is too hot and dry for it, the large leaves seem to wilt some.
Pineapple Tree
The Pineapple Pear tree flowers most years and produces a good crop of Bartlett-like pears in August.
It is among three pear trees in the orchard that were planted around a couple decades ago.
