Purple Oxalis

This pretty Oxalis is similar to the weed one that is green.

It is growing in a pot of the Norfolk Island Pine. This color variation has become a weed, too.

The front yard Flower Garden is full of blooms right now.

The white flowers of the Garlic Chives, are attracting a lot of insects.

Since my Shinseiki Pear only had two fruits this year, they were quite large.

An Apple is nearby for comparison.

Yellow Jackets have been competing with the cats for their food.

There has been a lot more Yellow Jackets this year.

There are not many Golden Leafed Willow cultivars to get.

I have a couple different ones that I am testing so far.

Japanese Angelica Tree is one of my thorniest plants on the Oasis.

Thorns are practically everywhere on this plant.

Kristy D has been an attractive cultivar of the European Cranberrybush.

The leaves show good variegation for this Viburnum.

Georgia Bush Honeysuckle is a hardy, low-growing bush.

This cultivar is known as Troja Black and has darker leaves.

Red Elderberry is a new species I have added to the Oasis.

I have also tried the Blue Elderberry, which has struggled in my climate. The native Iowa one that grows everywhere is the American Elderberry.
