Weeping Willow Water Weeping Willows look great by ponds, so I planted Queen’s Gold Weeping Willows along the edge of the pond. These willow hybrid trees grow very fast with a lot of moisture.
Wild Carrots Rolling Hills Wild Carrots grow when the pastures are overgrazed. Their deep taproots bring up a lot of nutrients and help the pasture become healthier, and the pasture actually looks more beautiful while under the biomass of carrots.
Purple Catalpa Seedlings The Purple Catalpa seedlings continue to grow and have new purple foliage. As can be seen in the photo, the older leaves turn green.
Northstar Cherry The North Star Cherry is full of fruit this year. The cherry fruit is good for use in desserts.
Christmas Tree The mulberry trees are loaded with fruit this year. The unripe fruit makes the trees look as red as they are green, nice Christmas colors.
Staghorn Sumac Attracts Pollinators The flowers on the Staghorn Sumac(Rhus typhina) are attracting a lot of insects now.
Army Worm Damage I have not seen this happen here before, but there was a scourge of army worms that marched across a hay field and ate all the grass in their path.
