Snapping Turtle New Year
The snapping turtles are awakening from the long winter and I see them cruising around. The clear water in spring makes them easy to see.
Back Too Soon
The Canadian geese come early, ready to stake their spots for the nesting season. Ice is starting to form on the water again with the recent cold weather.
Sumac Rabbit Sticks
The Rabbits had trouble getting food this winter because of all the snow we received. The rabbits took advantage of all the Sumac stems and chewed them to sustain life in winter.

Rabbit Chew
Arundo Donax is a fast growing reed that is resistant to animal damage, though not immune. Some of the shoots have been cut off by a rabbit.
Holed Up
Gypsy was finding interest in this large Silver Maple tree. There may be a raccoon or some other critter sleeping away the winter in there.
