I planted a row of Purple Asparagus. The young shoots are purple and very ornamental, not to mention tasty.

Cold Hot Peppers
The hot peppers don’t look so hot anymore. The snow and frost on them has given them ornamental value, even in winter.
Swiss Chard
This year I grew a lot of Swiss Chard. I fed the chickens some of the extra greens and have been eating a lot of Swiss Chard throughout the year, too.
Funner To Look At
Growing hot peppers can be fun, there is so many varieties. But for me, they are funner to look at than eat them.
Lettuce Face
I have been growing a lot of lettuce lately. I have three varieties of lettuce in this photo, Oakleaf, Buttercrunch, and Black Seeded Simpson.
Corn Fun
Always is fun when I see variegation in a corn plant. Blue Hopi Corn that I am growing sometimes will have a variegated leafed corn plant.
Magenta Corn
This is the first time I am trying a couple kinds of parching corn. This is a pretty corn called Magenta Parching Corn.
Tomato Hornworms
Tomato hornworms are huge and they turn into a big moth. They can damage tomato plants because they have big appetites.
Purple Yard Long Bean
Have been growing the purple asparagus yard long bean this summer. This bean is a pole bean and produces a good crop. The taste is actually bland and is more productive than tasteful.
Variegated Corn
Among the corn plants that came up, I see one has variegated leaves. I wonder if it will live to maturity, but appears to be lacking vigor.
