Fig production has been good on my potted Brown Turkey Fig tree. Next month some of the fruit should start ripening.

Large Asian Pear
Since my Shinseiki Pear only had two fruits this year, they were quite large. An Apple is nearby for comparison.
Golden Willow Leaves
There are not many Golden Leafed Willow cultivars to get. I have a couple different ones that I am testing so far.
Japanese Angelica Tree
Japanese Angelica Tree is one of my thorniest plants on the Oasis. Thorns are practically everywhere on this plant.
Chinese Prickly Ash
This shrub is closely related to the native Prickly Ash. The different species in the genus have compound leaves and thorny stems.
Salt Cedar Flowers
Salt Cedar attracts a lot of insects to its flowers. This shrubby tree is considered invasive in some west parts of the country, but behaved mostly elsewhere.
Asian Pears of Iowa
I have 4 Asian Pears that are producing fruit this year. These two fruits are Shinseiki and Chojuro.
Standouts
In a routinely green forest, the White Poplars standout. These Poplar trees are fast growing and competed well with the surrounding trees.
Chinese Elm Suckers
I planted out the Variegated Chinese Elm and some root sprouts have suckered up. This Elm’s variegation is highly variable.
Pear Season Starts
Pears are starting to ripen and I have harvested some for fresh eating. My Stark Delicious Pears and Pineapple Pears are the first to ripen, ripening in the month of August.
