This spring has resulted in a new spade for digging. This Wolverine Spade is larger, stronger, and I have not had to worry about breaking the handle.

Alien Life Force
A Silver Maple(Acer Saccharinum) growing in the ditch has no problem looking strange. As if the roots are an alien life form, reaching into the stream for sustenance.
Sumac Rabbit Sticks
The Rabbits had trouble getting food this winter because of all the snow we received. The rabbits took advantage of all the Sumac stems and chewed them to sustain life in winter.

Morning Cloud Chitalpa
The Morning Cloud Chitalpa is a tree that flowered quickly for me. The Chitalpa is a cross between Catalpa bignonioides and Chilopsis linearis.
Too Sunny?
You may need your sunglasses on when you look at this tree: This young tree has some bright, intense yellow leaves, soaking up the Sun’s rays literally. What is interesting that on the undersides of the leaves, it is a frosty, white color. Two opposites do attract for this tree.
Holed Up
Gypsy was finding interest in this large Silver Maple tree. There may be a raccoon or some other critter sleeping away the winter in there.
