Paulownia Tree Division
I cut one of my Paulownia elongata trees in half and now have created two trees out of it. Should be interesting how it responds to this.
Flowering Plum Thicket
There are many plum thickets on the farm that have burst into flowering now. These shrubs are the native species that are called the American Plum(Prunus americana).
Forsythia Spruce
The Forsythia bushes are blooming heavily. A Colorado Blue Spruce is in the background that is not so blue.
Holy Land
Well not quite holy, but it is filled with holes that I have dug. I will be planting trees in these holes.
Bigfoot Cats
The cats are guarding my trees against varmints. Too bad they are sleeping on the job.
Honey Locust Sunset
The Honey Locust is west of the house, so is frequently part of the sunsets on the horizon.
Icy Locust
Freezing rain has been encasing the trees in ice. This Honey Locust tree looks better with the glaze of ice.
Sun or Snow?
Looks like today is Sunny. Sun ‘n Snow Poplar tree is a fast growing tree with bright golden-yellow leaves on the top and the leaves are white beneath.
Torture Tree
Honey Locusts(Gleditsia triacanthos) are fast growing and thorny trees. Their trunks are full of vicious spines that are long. The thorns can have some primitive uses.
