Fall Colors 2010
Bitternut Hickory has good yellow fall color. Black Gum has become a frequent tree on my blog in the fall because of its color. Sassafras is known for good fall color. Sun n’ Snow Poplar has attractive fall color during the whole growing season.
Windbreak Goat Pasture
These young windbreak trees used to be part of a goat pasture. Now they help in winter to protect the goats from the North winds.
Japanese Raisin Tree
Japanese Raisin Tree(Hovenia dulcis) has not been very hardy for me. This selection supposed to be cold-hardier, but still is having problems.

Hawthorn Flowering in Fall
This Hawthorn tree has been confused with the weather. It started flowering some in the Fall, but flowering in Spring is the normal time to flower.
Fruiting Fig Tree
My potted fig tree has been producing more fruit. Even though I can’t grow this tree in the ground because it is not cold hardy, it works great as a potted tree.
Wingnut Neighbors
These two different species of wingnuts are keeping each other company in the goat pasture. Someday these Wingnuts(Pterocarya) should cross and produce hybrid trees.
Heavy Gala Apple Fruit Production
This was a great year for Gala Apples. . Plenty of apples to eat from this tree.
Dark Forest
The evergreen windbreak seems lifeless and dark.
