A heavy snow fell upon the land. Diamond didn’t mind the snow. Branches of the Colorado Blue Spruce are heavy-laden with snow. A Variegated Fritillaria is given further ornamental appeal with a layer of snow around it.

Sweetheart Snow
The Sweetheart Apricot tree is full of blossoms this spring. Even the snow couldn’t stop it.
Tree Gold
I like to see Queen’s Gold Weeping Willow growing on my Oasis. It is very noticeable during the winter months and helps brighten up nature.
Heavy Snow
Some wet, heavy snow has come in time to make a White Christmas. Bamboo is weighed down with the snow. Evergreen Windbreak with a nice Christmas look. Unique Snowball formed on steel fence post.
Queen For a Day
Was sawing down some Lombardy Poplars. Found many carpenter ants inside, some were queen ants that were large.
Late Season Harvest
Carrots are dug up before the ground freezes. Need to still get off the hulls of the big Black Walnut harvest.

Red Oak’s fall color and the still green bamboo(Phyllostachys aureosulcata ‘spectabilis’) contrast […]
Weeping Black Locust
The Weeping Black Locust is a fast growing tree that is already showing signs of pendulous branches. It won’t be as strongly weeping as weeping willows, though.
Pitlolly Pine
The Pitlolly Pine is a cross between the Pitch Pine and Loblolly Pine. Many of the seedlings lack the hardiness for my climate. But the hybrid pines that do survive are the fastest growing pine I can grow. They also have survived buck rubbing better than other pines, too.
Emmenopterys henryi
This is the first year I have Emmenopterys henryi. It is considered a rare tree, but may not be hardy in my Iowa location.
