Swedish Columnar Aspen New Growth
The new growth on my Swedish Columnar Aspens comes out looking bronze, but will green up soon. These aspens are very narrow and can fit in tight spots.

Bella di Giugno Pear
I grafted Bella di Giugno Pear onto an old rootstock pear. It has started to flower more, hopefully soon it can set pears. Until then, I can keep wondering if this is the earliest pear that I can harvest in Iowa.
Japanese White Birch Catkins
The male catkins on the Japanese White Birch trees are opening up this month. They don’t last very long until they fall to the ground and some of the goats may eat up the spent catkins.
