The Evans Cherry is becoming larger every year, thus it is producing more cherries. Soon it may start producing more cherries than I can use, though the birds compete for the fruit, too.

Hoptree with Yellow Leaves
The Golden Hoptree has leaves that shine like the yellow sun. This small tree is going to really stand out once it grows above the grass.
Catalpa New Growth
Variegated Catalpa trees are at their best when first leafing out. The strong colors will soften as summer goes on and will appear mostly green.
Smoketree Cultivars
The genus Cotinus can be colorful. Above are 4 different Smoketree cultivars with different colored leaves.
Purple Beech Bush
The Beeches I have planted over the years have grown so slow, they are still practically bushes. The color contrasts with all the greens in the landscape.
Populus Candicans Aurora
This is the first year my Variegated Poplar actually had variegation. Usually the leaves are green, but I coppiced the trees, and the new leaves finally showed their namesake.
Acer Pseudoplatanus Nizetii
Nizetii is a variegated cultivar of the species Acer Pseudoplatanus. The leaves have excellent variegation and color, but this tree has grown slowly for me.
Pink Flowered Locust Tree
Purple Robe Locust has abundant pink flowers in spring. This fast growing hybrid tree will also flower intermittently during the summer.
Black Locust White Flowers
The young Black Locusts are full of flowers this spring. Later in the summer the locusts will be filled with small pods.
Black Cherry Scenery
Black Cherry trees are easy to notice when they flower in the landscape. Black Cherries are the most noticeable in the spring with their mass flower display, though later in the year the small black cherries are attractive, too. The birds eat a lot of them.
