Ussuri Plum Changing Color
The Ussuri Plum starts out early in spring and as a result, starts beginning for winter earlier than a lot of plants. The leaves are already starting to change color.
Peach Week 2015
I cherish the years that my Peach trees produce, since they do not produce fruit every year. This year will not be as great as the glorious 2013, where I had over a thousand pounds of fruit, but the Redhaven Peach will provide a lot of peaches for fresh eating.
Redhaven Peach
Redhaven Peach is a lot bigger than the Whitney Crabapples. This year will be a better Peach producing year than last year.
July Apples
I’ve started eating some of the Whitney Crabapples and Zestar! Apples. So far these two are my earliest apple varieties.
World of Poplars
Poplar trees, of the Populus genus, can come in a lot of variety of leaf shapes, sizes, and colors. The giant leaf of the Chinese Necklace Poplar dwarfs the leaves of the Golden White Poplar.
Mello Yello
The new Variegated Catalpa graft is putting on good growth this summer. Catalpas are big-leafed trees, so the variegation is very noticeable on the new leaves.
Lanham’s Purple Sumac
The color on Lanham’s Purple Sumac isn’t a strong purple color. This is a cultivar of the species Shining Sumac. This form seems to have leaves that are more dark and dull, giving it a more subtle look in the landscape.
Red Samaras
Redwings Maple looks like it is flowering with its red hot samaras. This cultivar is similar to other Tatarian Maple cultivars such as Hot Wings.
Chinese Varnish Tree
Chinese Varnish Tree has similar leaves to other sumacs. This tree has been hardier for me than another Chinese relative, the Chinese Sumac.
