Calville Blanc d’Hiver
Calville Blanc d’Hiver apple tree still had the leaves on it when the freezing rain hit the other day. The tree is bending to the ground, but now I shook some of the ice off, so it is straightening back out.
Iced Landscape
Some freezing rain has iced over everything on my Oasis.
Carolina Buckthorn
Carolina Buckthorn has looked lush green deep into November. The surrounding snow has given these little seedlings an evergreen look.
Cutleaf Columnar Buckthorn
Cutleaf Columnar Buckthorn keeps its leaves late into fall. The recent snow has given it a new look.
Beech Yellows
European Beech has been a very slow growing tree. But the ornamental features make it a perfect addition to my yard.
Oklahoma Silver Juniper
More noticeable than the plain Eastern Red Cedar species, the Oklahoma Silver Red Cedar has silvery-blue foliage. This cultivar should work good in my Western Iowa location.
Pink Maple
Paperbark Maple not only has great bark, but fall color, too. This fall has brought a solid pink color.
