Hollywood Plums
My little Hollywood Plum tree is pretty noticeable among the other vegetation. These trees grow slow because of the lack of chlorophyll.
Purple Beech
My Purple Beeches sure are enjoyable to look at this time of the year. But they have taken forever to grow, as this plant was planted in the late 1990’s.
Variegated Southern Catalpa
Catalpas have a lot of ornamental features. This ornamental Catalpa cultivar goes by the name Speckled Catalpa or Variegated Catalpa, as you can see the leaves are pretty interesting.
Young Hollywood Plum
The Hollywood Plum is considered a purple-leafed plum cultivar and has edible fruit. This plum is said to be able to start from stem cuttings. So my plant gets bigger, I’ll be trying that propagation method out.
Flowering Stand of Dames Rocket
A little stand of Dames Rocket is flowering in my windbreak. The flowering time is long-lasting on these ornamental flowers.
Golden Pagoda Tree
The Golden Pagoda tree has many seasons of interest. In winter the stems are golden. In spring, the leaves have a vivid color that stands out in the greenery.
Next Cherry Generation
Young Black Cherries quickly flower and fruit. This tree is a good to mix in tree plantings for attracting wildlife.
Charlie’s Golden Autumn Olive
Charlie’s Golden Autumn Olive has been my most vigorous and has had the least die-back of my Autumn Olives. It has a good flower set this year.
Yellow Sweet Cherry Seedlings
I have a couple Yellow Sweet Cherry seedlings that are starting to gain size and flower. These Sweet Cherries suppose to have yellow fruit and less likely that bird depredation happens.
