Wingnut seed has always been easy to grow. This particular species is Chinese Wingnut. There are some other species I also grow.

First Ripened Pristine Apple
I was hoping these apples would have ripened sooner, but it has been still sooner than any of my other apples. I have planted some other early season apples lately, so I will see in the future if they produce earlier than this apple.
Pristine Apples First Fruiting Year
The Pristine Apples are getting close to ripening. These apples should start to ripen this month and be my earliest eating apple of the year.
Purple Catalpa New Flush of Growth
It is easy to differentiate Purple Catalpas from the other Catalpas I have. The new growth is purple on this Hybrid Catalpa.
Shrub Buckeye
There are a lot of different species in the Aesculus genus. The shrubbier species will flower a lot sooner than the other tree species.
Purple Leafed Plum
I hadn’t bought this Purple Leafed Plum, but came as an extra from Lawyer Nursery. It contrasts well with the surrounding greens in the landscape.
Fruiting Hop Tree
My young Hop Trees have been reliably producing seeds. Once mature, these seeds will be brown and are dispersed by blowing away in the wind or on the snow.
Golden Raintree Flowering
Some of my young Golden Raintrees are flowering. They attract insects, like Bumblebees.
Catalpa x Fargesii Ecos Strain
Catalpa x Fargesii that I am growing appears to be just a Catalpa Ovata, the Chinese Catalpa. So far I haven’t noticed any traits to differentiate this from my Chinese Catalpas.
Breba Fig
This is the first year that my Brown Turkey Fig has produced and ripened a Breba Fig. Ironically, this year I bought a Desert King Fig that suppose to only produce brebas.
