February Snow Melt
The snow has been melting this month. The geese are having fun in the melting snow, too.
Honey Locust Sunset
The Honey Locust is west of the house, so is frequently part of the sunsets on the horizon.
Cloud Cliff
Do not get too close to the edge when walking on these clouds.
Sun or Snow?
Looks like today is Sunny. Sun ‘n Snow Poplar tree is a fast growing tree with bright golden-yellow leaves on the top and the leaves are white beneath.
Snowmelt Vernal Pools
Snowmelt continues to run down our hills into the ponds. For some of my young vernal ponds, that is becoming a very big problem. Some previous spots that I have built vernal ponds have too much flow going through them.
Sumac Rabbit Sticks
The Rabbits had trouble getting food this winter because of all the snow we received. The rabbits took advantage of all the Sumac stems and chewed them to sustain life in winter.
More Snow
This winter keeps giving me more snow. I love climbing around on top of snowdrifts, it gives me a different view of the surrounding landscape.
Frosted Highlights
The old bus on our place has become part of an ever-growing snowdrift. The snow bus is waiting for spring.
Wrong Pond
