Smooth Sumac Fall Arrives

Smooth Sumac changes color early in the fall season.

It is easy to spot Purple Ninebark among the greens in the landscape.

The bark on my Corylus Fargesii is already showing the ornamental appeal. This tree’s common name is Paperbark Hazel.

A Yellow Caterpillar crossed paths with me while I had a camera.

This is the first year that Pink Cascade Salt Cedar has flowered. The insects liked the flowers of this Tamarix.

Rose of Sharon flowers early in life.

Suckers of Rhus chinensis and Rhus glabra are growing close to each other. Smooth Sumac on the left and Chinese Sumac on the right.

Flowers on the Hydrangea Bush are attractive to the eye and also to insects.

Hoptree appears to be flowering. Though this tree, also known as the Wafer Ash, it entangled with a Morning Glory vine.

Hydrangea is a good late summer producer of flowers.
