Miscanthus Cultivars
Various Miscanthus Grass cultivars are planted among the Persimmons and Pecans. A lot of the Miscanthus is flowering now. This grass is one of the most ornamental, with the large white plumes, it is sometimes called Pampas grass.

Foxtail knows how to survive and ended up finding a way to grow among these flowers. These annual grasses are late summer plants.

The Persimmon/Pecan Orchard has slowly been growing through the years. A lot of flowering plants have been planted among them.

The Common Reed is starting to head out. The color is reddish in the early stages, but will later change in color.
Hop Trellis
The Golden Hops has found the Giant Miscanthus to climb on. This perennial vine suckers and comes up all over.
Bamboo Remnants
Bamboo met its match last winter, what came back was few and far between. This area was full of bamboo the previous year, but most of the root system had been killed off.
Giant Common Reed
Giant Common Reed(Phragmites australis ‘Pseudodonax’) is a tall grass that is said to get over 20 feet tall. Mine has stayed relatively short compared to that stated height.
Golden Hops
Golden Hops against the approaching storm. The hops is currently crawling all over the Giant Miscanthus.
Miscanthus sacchariflorus ‘Robustus’
Miscanthus sacchariflorus ‘Robustus’ is a fast growing grass. The grass has running rhizomes and can be used for fast growing erosion control. This Miscanthus can grow taller than me, too.
