Iowa Llama
Our Llama continues to do well. She has been around here for nearly two decades.
Crimson King Maple
I planted a Crimson King Maple in the goat pasture. The leaves look purple throughout the season. Since they are a cultivar of the Norway Maple, they are easy to grow.
Combo Farm
Goats and trees share this farm. But goats have to be fenced away from the trees with electric fence wiring, or they would destroy the trees.
Duck Meetup
Father Drake is meeting up with his children. Ducks grow pretty fast and and the ones born this summer are already adult size.
Calico Cats
Mom and daughter enjoy their daily dose of goat milk. I really like the different patterns and color schemes that Calico Cats have.
Golden Guernsey Goat
The Golden Guernsey Buck is looking great this summer. He is not 100% Golden Guernsey, but has the look of one.
Live or Die
A Great Horned Owl has been hanging around and I am starting to see what it is capable of when hunting for its hungry babies. I am having to get the ducks earlier in at night to save them.
Bindweed Forage
Bindweed has been spreading in the gardens and also in the pastures. In the pastures it is not a problem as the goats eat it.
Buried Cattle Pasture
Cattle Pasture has slowly disappeared on this Oasis. The young trees are creating wildlife habitat where there was none before.
