Some freezing rain has iced over everything on my Oasis.

Superschmelz Kohlrabi
Superschmelz Kohlrabi and Ancient Giant Red Trentino Cabbage Turnip are rare Brassicas that are large and edible. These big vegetables produce a lot of food for the table.
Big Radish Harvest
The Radish harvest was quite large, while the individual Radishes were the biggest I’ve ever grown. Growing Radishes in fall has been more productive than in spring. They tend not to bolt either.
Final Harvest
Finally had to pick the rest of the Squash and Pumpkins before a hard freeze damages them. There is a lot of variety this year since all the vines did great.
Pepper Harvest
I had a large harvest of Sweet and Hot Peppers this year. The final harvest was done before the freeze.
Fall Iris
The long fall, combined with the more than ample moisture, has caused this Iris to flower now. Usually these Irises flower in late spring.
Kiwi Falling Up
My Kiwi vine is starting to show yellow fall colors. This is the first year I have it crawling up something. In this case, I have started using cattle panels for these vines. This is the female cultivar known as Ananasnaya.
Golden Milkweed
Milkweed is no longer a forgotten plant on my Oasis. Some of the plants even had good fall colors.
Sun + Miscanthus
Miscanthus looks the best in the fall, when the large white plumes are shimmering in the sunlight. Some of the cultivars can get over 10 feet tall.
Variegated Grass
The Variegated Miscanthus Grass is blooming in our long fall season. This grass doesn’t always bloom like the plain species.
