Mass Flower Display
A lot of plants are done flowering for the year. But this flower garden is still full of blooms.
Giant Ironweed
Giant Ironweed is a tall-growing perennial, with a nice flower display on top. This Ironweed has been slow to spread though, as only one stalk has flowered again this fall.
Butterfly Haven
Butterflies have been frequenting the flower garden. Monarchs have been the most common resident on the Mexican Sunflowers.
Sweet Corn Harvest
Sweet Corn can have a pretty long harvest time in Iowa if planting plots at different intervals. This Corn has yellow and white kernels.
Monarch Butterflies
Monarch Butterflies have been attracted to my flowering Mexican Sunflowers. These large, annual plants produce a lot of flowers from summer to fall.
Annual Flower Garden
Annuals make up the bulk of this flower garden. Though the white flowers in the foreground are perennials.
September Melon Harvest
Most of the Melon production is in late summer and fall. There are still hot days at this time of the year, so can eat through a lot of Melon.
Flower Garden Blooms
The front yard Flower Garden is full of blooms right now. The white flowers of the Garlic Chives, are attracting a lot of insects.
Mexican Sunflower
Mexican Sunflower has been a fast growing plant in my flower garden. This flowering annual has started to produce a lot of small flowers.
