Fall Melon Crop
The Melon crop was large this year. f
Start of Fall Harvest
Fall harvest started in August this year. Potatoes and Onions were dug up so that they would not rot from all the rains.
Pole Beans
The Pole Beans have filled up the cattle panels I used for them to climb up. The rain has helped the vines to keep pumping out beans to eat.
Onion Colors
3 colors of Onions are usually grown here. Yellow, Purple, and White.
Large Tomatoes
The Tomato crop has been good this year. A lot of big tomatoes I will be drying.
Sweet Onion Harvest
Sweet Onions needed to be harvested since the rains caused some to start rotting. On the positive, the rains helped the onions attain a large size.
Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate
Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate is a long named plant with a good flower display. This annual self seeds easily.
Cucumbers
Cucumbers don’t always do good, but this year the harvest has been great because of the heavy rainfall.
Grasshopper Versus Tree Dahlia
Grasshoppers are everywhere this year. This plague of insects has frequently been seen on the Tree Dahlias. Tree Dahlias are not hardy here and have to be dug up every fall and replanted in the spring. So far they have not flowered in our climate.
