Finally had to pick the rest of the Squash and Pumpkins before a hard freeze damages them. There is a lot of variety this year since all the vines did great.

Viburnum Fall Color
Viburnum is a large genus, with many different ornamental species. A lot of the species and cultivars can have excellent fall color.
Pepper Harvest
I had a large harvest of Sweet and Hot Peppers this year. The final harvest was done before the freeze.
Fall Dogwoods
The native Dogwoods are coloring up now. These Iowa Dogwoods have berries that are eaten by wildlife, which helps spread them all over.
Kiwi Falling Up
My Kiwi vine is starting to show yellow fall colors. This is the first year I have it crawling up something. In this case, I have started using cattle panels for these vines. This is the female cultivar known as Ananasnaya.
Iowa Pomegranate
Pomegranate has been a good ornamental flowering plant that I grow in a large pot. This plant will also produce ornamental fruit, but doesn’t ripen well for me.
Spindle Tree
The little Spindle Trees are starting to create their ornamental fruit. These small trees are in the genus Euonymus.
Radish Apples
The rains and low fall season has caused the Radishes to get huge. Some of the Radishes are getting bigger than Apples!
Apple Comparison
Double Red Delicious Apples were very dark this year. They are darker than Red Delicious apples in other years, but not nearly black.
Attack of the Killer Apples
The goats are gobbling all the extra apples down, while trying not to choke on them. Apples are a great treat for the livestock here.
