The Poppies keep spreading and producing more blossoms each year. The flowers are big and showy, but each blossom doesn’t last very long.

Young Hollywood Plum
The Hollywood Plum is considered a purple-leafed plum cultivar and has edible fruit. This plum is said to be able to start from stem cuttings. So my plant gets bigger, I’ll be trying that propagation method out.
First Fruit of 2016
Honeyberries are always the first fruit to ripen in the year at my Iowa Location. This fruit is quickly turning color and the birds may fly off with it before it is fully ripened.
Flowering Stand of Dames Rocket
A little stand of Dames Rocket is flowering in my windbreak. The flowering time is long-lasting on these ornamental flowers.
Iowa Comfrey Seedling
A Comfrey plant popped up outside the fence. This plant has a lot of vigor and is getting tall. My pet cat is there for reference.
Clematis Flowering Time
The Clematis vines have a good set of flowers opening now. The flowers are never too abundant though, as these vines are not highly vigorous.
Golden Pagoda Tree
The Golden Pagoda tree has many seasons of interest. In winter the stems are golden. In spring, the leaves have a vivid color that stands out in the greenery.
Lilac Leaf Color
Most Lilacs have green leaves, but there are also some cultivars grown for their colorful leaves. This special selection has intense golden leaves at a certain point in the year.
Dames Rocket
Dames Rocket is a biennial or short-lived perennial, that has a long flowering season. The above flowers are the common color, but there can be other colors and shades in these plants.

Young Black Cherries quickly flower and fruit. This tree is a good to mix in tree plantings for attracting wildlife.
