Iowa Sweet Corn
Looks like the Sweet Corn is maturing. Eating fresh Sweet Corn is one of the best things about summer.
Raising Tree Frogs
My Bigfoot Willow water tubs have attracted adult Tree Frogs. These Frogs have laid eggs and a lot of tadpoles have been in the water. This is the first Tree Frog I have seen that has ventured out of the water.
Surprise Lilies in Iowa
Surprise Lilies are very hardy and long-lived. They continue to thrive and flower decades after being planted.
Two Sides of the Same Morning
2nd Place Finish
Zestar had been my first Apple of the year, but this year it comes in 2nd place. These are great tasting Apples for the early season.
August Sunrise
Calico Cats
Mom and daughter enjoy their daily dose of goat milk. I really like the different patterns and color schemes that Calico Cats have.
Weeping Asian Pear
My Shinko Pear is loaded with so much fruit, it is starting to weep. This is the first year I will get fruit of this Asian Pear.
Aronia Berries
My Viking and Nero Aronia bushes have been ripening their blue fruit. The berries do not taste good fresh, but the birds are making them disappear.
