Sweet Onion Harvest
This year has been a good crop of Sweet Onions. They have to be harvested pretty quickly once mature, as rot can set in if it is too rainy.
Good Wasps
I like all Wasps, except for when they sting me. This Wasp does not sting though, but lays its eggs in the wood, killing woodboring insects.
Pristine Apple Color
Some of my Pristine Apples have had a pretty light color. These have been great tasting apples.
Magnolia Willow
The Magnolia Leaf Willow has big leaves for a Willow. But this shrub has not proven very hardy in my location.
Sichuan Pepper
I have some Sichuan Pepper developing on my Prickly Ash Tree. I just started growing this plant this year and has done great.
Red Dragon Contorted Filbert
This shrub has grown slow for me, but it has two awesome features. Red leaves and contorted branches adorn this unusual bush.
Chinese Necklace Poplar
Chinese Necklace Poplar hasn’t been as easy to propagate from cuttings as other Poplars. Though my numbers will slowly increase.
Goat Pasture Trees
I have a nice row of trees in the Goat Pasture now. I use cages and also electric fence to keep the goats from destroying them.
Arctic Paulownia Hybrid
Arctic Paulownia is a Paulownia that suppose to grow fast and be hardy. I have tried a few Paulownia trees in my Iowa location and so far all of them have died back to the ground. This is my best chance yet.
