Clumping Bamboo Iowa
I haven’t had much success with the lower vigor of clumping bamboos. So far Fargesia Rufa is the only clumper I have had survive, and it persists rather than grows in my climate.
Black Locust Deer Rub
A buck deer has been attracted to one of my Black Locust trees. It has been rubbing hard on this tree. Diamond doesn’t seem to distraught about my damaged tree.

Fall Colors 2013
Colorful trees are common here in fall. Black Gum always has a good red fall color. Japanese White Birch(Betula platyphylla) can have good fall color. 5 Gallon Jalapeno
This year was the largest harvest of Jalapenos I’ve ever had. What I do not use fresh I dry and use throughout the year.
