Hinge Cutting Trees
Hinge cutting trees can offer more wildlife habitat where there was little before. I also did this in the woods and opened up the canopy for more young growth in the woods. I cut this Elm tree down, but let it stay attached to the trunk, good example of a hinge cut.
Guinea Fowl Nest
Now that I have killed a lot of the weeds, the Guinea Fowl female is very noticeable on the nest. I will need to pick up the guinea eggs and incubate them in an incubator. If this guinea is left on this next, she becomes vulnerable to predators.
Green Bean Production
This Bush Bean is loaded with Green Beans. With the good rains this season, the green beans have been producing a heavy crop.
Great Blue Heron Nest
There is a a lot of chatter way high above in the Blue Heron nests. This rookery was formed in a tall Cottonwood tree. There are currently 3 nests in the crown of this tree.

Elderberries are the most noticeable when they have huge clusters of flowers. Later they will have berries for a short period of time before the birds eat them.

Many cultivars have had bright, golden growth with the good rains we have been having and mild temps.
