A snowdrift has formed over the port-a-hut. The cats like to check it out, though if too much snow falls this winter, the whole shed, including the opening, will disappear.
Beech Snowed In
The European Beech is still retaining its leaves into the winter, collecting snow before it can hit the ground.
Return of Winter
Winter temps are below normal now. The lowest temperature has gone eleven below zero Fahrenheit and the snow is sticking around.

Easy Winter
The month and year is almost over, but I could use a few more of these evenings.
Freezing Rain
Freezing rain glazed over the forest. The sun helped light up the ice in the crowns of the trees.
Spiraeacicles
The Spiraea bush is full of icicles from above. The freezing water is starting to weigh down the bush.
Frosty Boo
Bamboo and everything else was frosted over from the fog. I have only a little bit of bamboo here and there, most has died from the harsh winters.

A Viburnum is trying to take advantage of the warm December we are having. Flowering at this time of the year is definitely a rare event.
