This shrub is closely related to the native Prickly Ash. The different species in the genus have compound leaves and thorny stems.

Standouts
In a routinely green forest, the White Poplars standout. These Poplar trees are fast growing and competed well with the surrounding trees.
Big Tomatoes
Growing Tomatoes in Iowa is pretty easy. Some of the Tomatoes can get very large.
Flowering Hibiscus Bushes
This month has been the main time that my Rose of Sharons have been flowering. The winter hardiness is an issue, but overall these are carefree bushes.
