I planted this Princeton Elm tree a couple months after my nephew died, in memory of him. The Sun and clouds made it look like an angel was shining above the tree.

Rainfall Breaks Vernal Pool
A large rain broke one of my recently built vernal ponds. Sometimes is hard to predict how much water travels through an area.
Hardy Rubber Tree
The Hardy Rubber tree(Eucommia ulmoides) is the only tree that produces rubber in temperate climates. When tearing the leaves, the rubber is visible in the strands that keep the leaf from falling apart. This rubber tree is easy to grow from seed.
Toothed Chinese Linden
The Toothed Chinese Linden, or frequently called the Henry’s Linden(Tilia henryana), is an attractive Linden tree in the Tilia genus. This tree suppose to have flowers later than the native American basswood, so should attract bees at a different time of the year.
Tall Brome Grass
The goats disappeared in the tall brome grass. They have been enjoying this pasture lately.
Tractor Repairs
The old tractor needed some work done on it. So off it went to the repair shop.
Iris Flower Garden
The Iris garden was full of flowers this Spring. A lot of different colors are mixed together.
Wood Duck Vernal Pond
My vernal pond attracted wood ducks this spring. The wood ducks used a nearby oak tree for a nesting hole.
Night Time Soon
The Sun is lasting a lot longer now that it is Spring. Sunsets are far off to the Northwest now.
