I have found a lot of Melons among the vines. Some years aren’t as productive.

I have been growing a lot Cilantro every year, as I use it in food. I get some self seeding and this Variegated Cilantro appeared.

A lot of plants are done flowering for the year. But this flower garden is still full of blooms.
Giant Ironweed
Giant Ironweed is a tall-growing perennial, with a nice flower display on top. This Ironweed has been slow to spread though, as only one stalk has flowered again this fall.
Butterfly Haven
Butterflies have been frequenting the flower garden. Monarchs have been the most common resident on the Mexican Sunflowers.
Sweet Corn Harvest
Sweet Corn can have a pretty long harvest time in Iowa if planting plots at different intervals. This Corn has yellow and white kernels.
Duck Meetup
Father Drake is meeting up with his children. Ducks grow pretty fast and and the ones born this summer are already adult size.
Monarch Chrysalys
Since I have been attracting Monarchs to the Oasis, seeing a Chrysalys is becoming more common. Too bad it is attached to a vehicle tire.
