Surprise Lilies leaf out in early Spring, but later the leaves disappear. Now the flowers have come up from seemingly out of nowhere.

American Dagger Caterpillar
Sometimes I come across unusual looking insects. The fuzzy-looking American Dagger Moth Caterpillar looks fun to touch, but the hairs can cause skin irritation.

Castor Bean plants are one of the most ornamental foliage plants that can be grown. These are fast growing annual plants in my location. The only downside is that they are toxic.
