My two female Calico Cats had sons this spring. They are growing up and hopefully soon will become good hunters like their moms.

Picking Sour Cherries
Red Fruit Trees
Immature Mulberries on this tree have painted over the tree in a red color. Soon the Mulberry tree will be loaded with ripe fruit and the animals will help spread its seed.
Converting Cattle Pasture into Forest
I keep on planting various different tree species, varieties, and cultivars in former cow pasture. The landscape is slowly turning into the oasis that I envision.
Variegated Catalpa Leaves
The new leaves on a Variegated Catalpa are a lot brighter than surrounding green vegetation. The growth is similar to regular green catalpas because the variegation fades later in the summer.
Red Wings Maple
Red Wings Maple is a cultivar of the Tatarian Maple. The seeds have attractive red wings that last for awhile in the summer.
North Star Cherry Bird Attraction
The North Star Pie Cherry has been pumping out the cherries this summer. Robins and other birds have been helping themselves eating these sour cherries.
Variegated Tomato Plant
Tomato plants all look pretty much the same until they have fruit. Except I am growing one variety of tomato that has attractive variegation in the leaves. The tomatoes taste good, too.
Baltimore Oriole
When I am picking cherries, a Baltimore Oriole comes around making noise at me. She has a nest of babies in the nearby Bella di Giugno Pear tree.
Evans Cherry Laden with Fruit
The Evans Cherry is becoming larger every year, thus it is producing more cherries. Soon it may start producing more cherries than I can use, though the birds compete for the fruit, too.
